    they are the least bad

    the other party is totally crazy

    this has gone on for years

    and it went full steam ahead before the election right here on dailykos

      After next year's economic "activities", the point may well be moot.

      They're smart enough to get the Democratic Party to kill their own ideological reason for existing.  There really isn't any foundation to the Democratic Party without their commitment to the values of the New Deal.

      anyone other than the billionaires on Wall St and at the Chamber.

      We'll see if they can pull together enough of the billionaire vote to stay relevant. They may be able to co-opt the rich away from the Repubs, but they won't get the religious fanatics or the racists.  The Repubs haven't been able to win without both toxic sides of the conservative coin. I doubt the Democrats can.
