    and Dell contacted me twice about extending the warranty for 3 years (including after the first 3 year extension was about to expire).  It might be different for laptops, but they'll sell you another extension on a desktop.

    And, yes, I did buy that warranty extension when I called to register my computer.  It's the least expensive to do it then (higher price at the end of the initial 1 year warranty).  I also take their annual software warranty ($110 per year) which gives me software support.  If you let that expire it costs well over $200 to get it.  I consider it a worthwile "insurance policy" for the computer because I'm so computer stupid.

    There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.
