    but that was before the Reagan years and the changed concept of business management that came along with junk bonds, leveraged tax-free corporate buy-outs and basically all the legal changes that enabled Vulture Capitalism.  

    In the old days (hahaha, but yeah, I'm old), when you got a job with a company, if you were a decent worker and at least half-way easy to get along with, you had a job for "life."  

    Companies were managed toward the long term, not next quarter only.

    I agree that unfettered capitalism is wrong.  That's why every change in the tax code and business (de)regulation that was passed during the Reagan years needs to be reversed.  The sooner the better.
