  •  Yep, to be honest, you are right, (0+ / 0-)

it's just senseless or unnecessary violence I'm not excusing.

And there are certain times and certain circumstances where I heartily endorse violence.

    •  Paulie - hadn't the AFP reserved the space (1+ / 0-)

is blindsided, yet the paid shills from AFP have plenty of time and advanced notice to lay out a thick layer of Koch Bros Inc. manufactured Astroturf and wave it in the face of people trying to defend their livelihood.

I agree that it would be best for our side if that never happened, but I would be sore pressed not to want to pop someone in the mouth who was paid to take my rights away.

Sorry, I'm just built that way, it's truly a flaw to not be as pure of spirit as those who sit calmly at their keyboard tsk tsking others.

My comment was just trying to respond to those who were trying to make the case that the AFP had been provocative by having their demonstration in the middle of the pro-labor rally. My only point was that the AFP reserved the space before the pro-labor rally was even planned so it's hard to make the cast that their presence was a provocation. I have no idea what happened on the ground, or if the AFP had exclusive use of that section of the capital lawn. The events on the ground, including the collapse of the tent and the fighting, are difficult to determine. The videos are inconclusive and I couldn't find any non-partisan reporting on the event.

does it really matter that AFP reserved space?  I stand by my original comparison, what if the Klan 'reserved' space in the middle of what they knew was going to be a civil rights march? I call that looking for a fight.

And your point, if it's accurate (not doubting you, but the only place I've heard that is from the right's sources) raises a lot of questions... who is in charge of the reservations of space? When was that space reserved? Was AFP tipped-off as to what was otherwise a secret agenda about to be carried out in the legislature?

And this isn't exactly the organized actions of anyone...  it's one pissed off angry guy out of thousands... and all I can say about HIS actions is that I don't frickin' blame him, considering the circumstances.
