    metro area will gain another million or two in the next few decades, so I don't know if it'll run out of growth, though I doubt some of the big projections.

    This is all just speculation, though.  I haven't looked at the latest census estimates, but the 2011 ones showed the heaviest growth in 2010 and 2011 to be in Multnomah, Washington, Polk, and Hood River counties, IIRC.

    •  I've been surprised at the speed of infrastructure (0+ / 0-)

      changes in PDX over the past few years. The only monkey wrench so far is the CRC (new I5 bridge over the Columbia), which can only help keep growth on the Oregon side of the river.

      I don't think such smooth sailing for growth can continue indefinitely in a place like PDX.

      I hope; therefore, I can live.
