    Force Democrats to propose and then vote for extremely unpopular budget policy -- and then lead part of his caucus into voting against it because it did not cut far enough.

    That way, draconian cuts are made and the Democrats will be held responsible.

    Unfortunately for him, the Democrats have an easy out:

    Do nothing.

    Then, after the holidays, they can pass a new tax cut for the middle class only, which the GOP will not dare vote against. Then, soon after, address restoring spending to critical programs.

    "I'll believe that corporations are people when I see Rick Perry execute one."
