How can you suggest that "The GOP has broken the entire process"?  GOP has massive flaws, but it is the only side even suggesting a reduction in spending.  Obama has "offered" nothing but a continuation of "non-investment" spending increases, (pissed away).  Taxes have already been raised considerably across the board through Obamacare, and this is going to hurt everyone but very large businesses - which is supposedly whom the Republicans represent.   They are bandying back and forth about 80 billion at most from the "robin hood" tax increase, and when Obama feels that he will get this increase he ups the ante.  This is because he does not want to "resolve" the "crisis."  He cannot function without a crisis and some kind of enemy to scapegoat.
I just can't understand why the only people that seem to see this administration for what it is come to the US from Venezuela or Russia.  Everybody else seems to see what they want to see...

where do you come from, Venezuela, Russia or Mars?

In the GOP your status is inversely proportional to your integrity.

He cannot function without a crisis because the GOP has a stated goal, troll, of Obama's defeat. That did not happen, and they errantly believe that he has no more bargaining power than in 2011. Bullshit. And bullshit to your assertion that

Taxes have already been raised considerably across the board through Obamacare.
Obamacare will decrease costs and rate-of-rise in costs for the majority of us that are currently insured by a decrease in catastrophic care costs for those currently uninsured who rely on emergency care as primary care and due to an increase in insurance pool size. Regardless, tax rates, especially on the wealthy, are at historic lows, and we have conducted two wars and countless corporate welfare giveaways to arrive at the current impasse.

The better approach than those being bandied by the Serious People would be to let the defense cuts occur as agreed, with a partial offset to domestic infrastructure spending; accompanied by a return to Clinton-era rates for the $250K+ group; sunset of the earned benefits reductions (Medicare/SS) in the near term; and as the economy improves, return to earlier rates for much of the upper middle class with more progressive pressure on the top 1% and on capital gains.

Venuzela and Russia? No. Truman and Eisenhower's America.
