    rooms in the International Mechanic Code, 1/2 cubic ft per minute per square foot of space.
    Your copy area may have been grandfathered in, or bootlegged in, but it wouldn't comply with current code if it does not have exhaust.
    My understanding is the concern is particulates of copiers, not necessarily the solvents in the ink or the actual make up of the toner.

    They  generate ozone as well so that may be an issue

      that most likely complies with any space and ventilation requirements.  Still, there's no dedicated ventilation for it; but the specification require only 12.5 m2/hr, not a tough hurdle.
