We must all DO something(s) to make our communities, our states, and our world a better place for people.  Even if it's just writing LTE's, that's better than sitting on your sofa, yelling at the TV.

If you like to yell, get on your feet and go yell outside the bldg that houses the people who are making crappy policies.  Ask a few of your friends to go with you.

Get involved with groups in your community who have similar opinions / viewpoints and share information/events with them.

GET and STAY informed.  Most information on network news and your 4-day a week newspaper is already at least 24 hours old by the time you see/read it.  Get internet access and email or find someone who is willing to help you with those things.

Our kids and grandkids are going to ask us what we did to make the world a better place for them.  Make sure you are proud to tell them what you did/are doing.

Do not tiptoe through life only to arrive safely at death.  This is your chance to work for positive change...find a cause (or several!) that you can believe in and do whatever you can to help them.

We might not be able to compete with the money of the oligarchs and the 1%, but we have greater numbers of people, and those boots on the ground DO make a difference.

One person can make a difference--and everyone should try. --John F. Kennedy
