over the Teahadists any and every day.

Yes, we'll have to fight them every damned day over the allocation of public resources, regulation of business, and privatization. But at least they understand certain basic realities:

    >> National infrastructure is not a luxury but a requirement for business success.

    >> A functional banking system is a requirement for business success.

    >> A reasonable immigration policy is good for national security and isn't the end of the world for business, except maybe for agribusiness.

    >> Legalizing pot and decriminalizing other drugs actually makes economic sense if you want to reduce government spending.

    >> A well-educated workforce is a huge benefit to mid-size and small businesses, even if multinationals don't care so much.

I'll take that over the regressive, nihilistic, repressive, radical far right, who simply want to destroy and divide.

But in their case it's the sort of business that depend on things operating similar to a century ago, so it's to their advantage to turn the clock back.

The Koch Brothers are in cash-cow basic commodities and materials business, not anything that requires or caters to well-educated people.  For example, they'd probably sell more paper if there were some economic crisis that nuked investment in innovative tech that is driving to paperless business.

      •  The Koch bros are hardcore biz GOPpers, (0+ / 0-)

well educated, with a taste for the arts and the finer things in life. Fwiw, I judge these to be men who first and foremost wish to make America safe for themselves to amass an even larger fortune than they already have.

And they are extremely heavily invested in innovative tech -- plastics, plastics, plastics. Check out their holdings: http://inspirationgreen.com/...

They could easily live without ever cutting another tree.
