        is that it isn't "occasional." Indeed, your diaries on Syria are almost invariably about you and the presumed moral clarity of your flawed narration of and perspectives on the Syrian civil war. I had a good laugh the other day when you posted your diary about Claudius, for while you made some good points about the Cynical narrative you nonetheless missed that you are the flip-side of that coin, hopelessly wedded to a Romantic narrative which is equidistant from reality.

        •  I like to expand upon Claiborne's one-sided (0+ / 0-)

          diaries by mainly linking to reports that tell more of the story and which sometimes refute them.

          I rarely make comments. BTW, I do not support Assad nor do I support the militarized protestors. The majority of Syrians want neither because they recognize their country is being destroyed by both factions. Unfortunately, external forces have more control on what is occurring within the country than does the average ordinary citizen. Syria is a poor country and it will take a decade or more to rebuild it.
