After a diary full of insults, both veiled and explicit, against the "suxxers," I found this:

And you expose a weakness in your thought process when you cannot understand this simple thing: we are more powerful when we work together and embrace the things we have in common rather than insult those we disagree with.
    somewhat ironic.

(It also appears there has been no real effort in the comments here to encourage people to "understand this simple thing.")

    •  Oops! I did not mean for the insults to be veiled! (14+ / 0-)

I will try to do better next time.

You are like the Republicans ... you expect Democrats to turn the other cheek instead of pushing back. That will not happen here.

You called us "Partisans" as if that is an insult ... we reject that as an insult and claim it.

You insulted those who use humor to make a point. We reject that and claim the right to use LOLs and to HAHAHAHA at people who deserve to be mocked.

And you insult Democrats by claiming to be one.

You have said your piece. Now you can leave.

Words have meaning. Our words will reflect what is in our souls.

"I" have never once insulted you, or called you anything. Check my comment history for proof.

All I expect is that, if you criticize someone for insulting those they disagree with, you might not do the same yourself. Apparently this expectation is unrealistic. I shall keep that in mind for the future.
And you insult Democrats by claiming to be one.
The very first politician I ever voted for was Barack Obama, in the 2008 primary. I voted for him again this year. But apparently, the requirement for being a Democrat now is savaging anyone who is insufficiently respectful of Democratic politicians. Again, I shall keep this in mind for the future.

I suppose we agree on one thing. That's progress at least.
