  •  Sorry, that's just a very well written and... (6+ / 0-)

seductive rant that is just trying to say "both sides do it".  There was never true Democratic Party conrol of Congress during the first two years of Obama's administration and the cons have clearly controlled the agenda since 2010.

Don't try to fool me into agreeing that both sides do it because that is not true.

I screwed up with a careless uprate so I'm a "No Rate" pariah. When I give a comment "+1 n/t", please consider that a recommend. (That's my workaround to participate here). DK haiku, one complete thought in a title field. Roar louder! NR since 3/7/12.

But in the mind of an average, disengaged voter who comes to life and awareness 90 days before a presidential election, it becomes a failure on the part of Obama.

We need to pay attention to it, hold it up to our Democratic Elected with the message of 'See, this is what you get when you Don't follow Democratic Principles!'

The sub message to this needs to be: 'Republicans are not to be trusted, they're cornered and desperate.  Negotiate, but don't compromise your principles with liars any more."

... the watchword of true patriotism: "Our country - when right to be kept right; when wrong to be put right." - Carl Schurz; Oct. 17, 1899

    •  I see it differently (0+ / 0-)

The lesson of that post and the recommends it got (it is now leading 985 to 556) is that the Democratic edge over the Republicans is small, and not that "both sides do it".

The people who read Krugman and write comments (and  read the comments) are something like 99-1 progressive-oriented, leaning forward, etc.

Democrats need to consistently deliver in order to be able to win the House, and the many blue states with red governors and/or legislatures.
