HRs don't scare me, knock yourself out.

But you're saying that there is no comparison between shooting 20 children and running 20 children over?  In both cases a weapon was used illegally.  In both cases murder was committed.  In both cases the kids are equally dead.

Maybe the difference to you is that if a car was used, you know cars will never be banned, and you will have to address mental illness and violence.

But when a gun is used, you think that 300 million people really can be disarmed, and that will magically stop all gun violence without every having to do anything messy, like actually understanding why people go crazy and kill.

The question you have to ask yourself is, do you really want to solve this problem, or just pretend to solve it?

How many times by the way have children been mass murdered by a car running them over?  OH YEAH, that's NEVER FUCKING HAPPENED

      •  2 tons moving at 60mph certainly is a weapon (0+ / 0-)

Here's a case you say never happened:
An 18 year old intentionally drove his car 65mph down a crowded street, intentionally crashed into a crowd and killed 4 people.

A car absolutely can be used as a weapon.  Don't focus on the weapon, focus on the crime.  The crime isn't owning a gun or owning a car.  The crime is using it to kill.
