  •  Every bullet fired represented corporate profit (13+ / 0-)

can we talk about that, if we can't talk about gun control?

Every bullet fired at these children today represented profit for a munitions company.  We have built a market incentive for our society to not only have guns, but to use them.

I'd like to hear that point made on television somewhere.  We should at least agree that people shouldn't make money off of these shootings, and that munitions manufacturing should be nationalized, and non-profit only.

    •  I wish the press would do a better job (0+ / 0-)

of tracing the sources of the bullets and guns, and putting the arms makers on the spot, along with the sellers, etc.  They could ask if the businessmen felt any responsibility for distributing a lethal product.  They could ask whether the businessmen made any contributions to the NRA.  They could ask them how they would feel if their own children or family had been the victims.
