to bear arms. and yes, i agree. we have to start talking about something. something sensible. and doable.

these mass shootings are being carried out, not by marksmen, but by crazed madmen who can pull a trigger once and mow down 20,30,40 people with their eyes closed.

i am beginning to think there's a way to do something about that without talk of "banning guns" (which is not going to happen) or requiring strict registration and licensing (which is also not going to happen, even if I happen to think some type of records keeping might be a decent idea). But the ammo.

I was having a sane, adult conversation on FB with friends there and we got talking about ammo.

Maybe that's something to look at.

Types of weapons may be something to look at as well. But I'm not sure it's politically feasible.

My shotgun has a plug to limit the number of shells I can load,
never heard NRA complain about the number of ducks I can kill in one load of the gun. Weapons that can kill XXX times that of humans, Second Amend. Hair On Fire!!

Can accept the fact that society needs protection from guns because not everyone with access to them is sane 24/7?

Some countries have licensed gun clubs where people can target shoot in safety and leave the guns there under lock and key.

Sounds pretty sane to me. Your thoughts?

      What about my Daughter's future?

Your 100% rational, sensible comment and question will be met with the sound of crickets by all these "responsible gun owners" who seem to be hell-bent on keeping their rifles at home - screw everyone else's rights, it's all okay if I HAVE MY GUN - when all they supposedly use them at are shooting ranges and during hunting.
