  •  A lot of the TV coverage has been unbearable, (9+ / 0-)

but I hope some of you saw the absolutely amazing interview that Diane Sawyer did with a teacher at the school. Seeing what this woman was willing to do to take care of her little students might restore a little faith in humanity. And I hope that we can have a moratorium of at least a few months on attacks from the right, that our schools are failing, and it's all because of stupid, greedy, lazy union teachers. Screw them. They have no idea what this teacher faced today, and how gracefully she handled it. I know the parents of her students will be forever grateful. Not to mention the other teacher who was shot and killed today trying to get her students to safety. We don't know all the stories yet of the adults who dies, but I'm sure they were all heroes.

this morning, even before the interviews. The country has been so caught up in blaming teachers and police and all public servants for everything.

And then in your link came a commercial with loads of Christmas presents and a light happy voice - I couldn't even listen to what it was saying, it was so incongruous. What on earth will that town do about a Christmas with 20 children dead and so many more traumatized?

Republicans want to make government small enough to fit in your vagina..
