More than one thing will need to be done.

with an interview of Dave Cullen, author of "Columbine".
He pointed out that there have been a couple of "incredible" studies done by the FBI and another, a joint study by the Secret Service and the Department of Education on why does this keep happening.

Both came to the same conclusion.  There is no single profile of a shooter.  If were looking for the [single] type, or the rationale or the motive, the "thing", the "reason", it doesn't exist.  But the good news is, beleive it or not, and this surprised me, there's really three types that cover the most of the ground...
      (Cullen's air quotes and emphasis.)

He goes on the say most of these tragedies are perpetrated by suicidally depressed teens.  And that if we were to do annual psychological screenings of all teens we might stop much of this.

I agree that we have too many guns.  I'm fascinated by the mechanics and power of semiauto handguns.  But I also know that the odds of a tragedy go way up if I were to buy one.  And it's too late to rid America of dangerous guns.  We need another solution.  This guy may be on to something.

Even Democrats can be asses. Look at Rahm Emanuel.
