    of the links between poverty and violence?  if it is all about guns, why would violence correlate with poverty?

      should work to eliminate. Mental health care is another. Poverty wasn't the machine that killed so many in an elementary school yesterday. That machine was engineered, manufactured & marketed with the express purpose of being an efficient tool for the killing of human beings. & it seems to have done its work very well.

      Who cares what banks may fail in Yonkers. Long as you've got a kiss that conquers.

        plus youth unemployment kills way more children than what happened in Ct. Every month. The difference is that frankly - the media cares less about dead black and latino kids. They don't even care about those who are missing.

        I mourn for those who died in Ct - but who is mourning for all the children killed by stray bullets, and some not so stray ones.

        The solution is not locking more kids up, new Jim Crow style.

        with legal gun owners matches the homicide rates in Northern Europe.

        Gangs and drug dealers, for obvious reasons, use illegal weapons, and generally shy away from rifles and legally purchased weapons.
