  •  I can remember the thrill of chewing gum (6+ / 0-)

    for the first time.
      Especially bubble gum. The sheer joy of unwrapping your first Bazooka gum. The gold standard of bubble gum.
    And reading the comic.
       The thrill of chewing it just right to soften it up so you can blow your first bubble. Then the hope that that first sensation of the taste and texture of the gum will live on forever. Then the hard realization of that immediate sensation fades away to a hard tasteless mass that is hard to chew and uncomfortable in your mouth.
        I quickly moved on to jawbreakers. They never disappointed. I still like them.
