I don't understand the outrage at this post.  It may seem flippant and cynical, but I find a lot of truth in what the general says.  Being saddened and outraged by the incident in Sandy Hook is understandable, but that shouldn't prevent clear-headed thinking about the probable aftermath, which Thesteelgeneral addresses.  He made a number of good points, which people should do well to consider.  Being irreverent is a bold stylistic
choice, and I for one find it useful in this particular issue.

exposes just the tip of the iceberg of vileness in this diary. The diarist finds all kinds of things to "love" about the massacre. That's not "irreverence." It's depravity.

There is nothing clear-headed about this post. The cyninism is utterly misplaced. There is absolutely nothing to "love" about the Sandy Hook massacre.

That he's not being irreverent, he's being an asshole.  This added nothing to the conversation.  Irreverent works when you are discussing those in power, not dead kids or teachers who died protecting them. This is truly a shameful diary.
