  •  I kinda get the point (0+ / 0-)

But a lot of this is really just unsubstantiated.  Like the following:

In addition, as the state is hijacked by the financial-military-industrial complex, the "most crucial decisions regarding national policy are not made by representatives, but by the financial and military elites."(31)
So what were the most crucial decisions regarding national policy this year, and who made them?  This I'd like to hear about.

History will be kind to us because we will write it.

      •  I figured that (0+ / 0-)

No surprise that the "financial elites" would take an interest in financial reform and have an outsized voice.  But that's a long ways away from saying the "most crucial decisions regarding national policy are not made by representatives, but by the financial and military elites".  A lot of other national policy decisions were made on topics other than financial reform this year.

        •  The "financial and military elites" are the 1%... (0+ / 0-)

...and it sounds like you haven't read anything from Stiglitz: "Of the 1%, By the 1%, For the 1%."

          •  decisions (0+ / 0-)

What I want to know is, what were these "most crucial decisions regarding national policy" for say, this year, and who made them?

History will be kind to us because we will write it.
