    in the Blue Mountains were those of other Dwarf-Fathers.

    The last time the Republicans were this radical, they were working to elect former slaves to Congress. What a difference a century and a half makes!

      Because after Durin woke he looked into the pool outside the east end of Khazad-dum and the image of the stars reflected in it seemed to make a crown around his head.  That's why the dwarves call the constellation of Ursa Major "Durin's Crown".  I remember that now.

      In LOTR, Gimli pauses in their flight from Moria at Durin's Stone to look into the Mirrormere.  And Legolas stands behind him making bunny ears with his fingers.
