    is the installation of an approximately 3500kW system, tired into Georgia Power and producing more electricity than I use.

    I have no intentions of selling or moving anytime soon but, as the economy starts to recover - several years from now - I think it would be a selling point.

    Plus I like the energy independence and reducing the size of my carbon assprint.

    (O/T - I call it 'assprint' because few people care about the size of their foot. Make a comment about their ass and see what happens)

      oversizing your system. Also, depending on your rate structures, it makes more sense financially to install a smaller system that knocks of 80% of your electric bill, rather than maxing out for the extra investment up front.

      That said, a recent survey in the LA area indicated that average residential home prices increased by 14% w/ solar PV on roofs.
