She wants to introduce legislation that will certainly be filibustered in the Senate and yet she is opposed to filibuster reform.

Wake me up when she wants to get real.

would be a pretty high risk strategy on this one I suspect. Mind you that probably won't change anything.

    •  With Milk, Moscone when killed; tone not helpful (3+ / 0-)

She was first to find Milk and Moscone when they were assassinated, so she knows guy violence first hand.  Tell me now that this historical fact is actually urban legend like the twinkie defense.

In any case, may I humbly submit that the tone is not helpful?

Allow others move things forward, you di just last week on another injustice. And if you disagree with how they are doing it, stay asleep.

If you don't like the tone, don't blame me.  Blame her.  Whatever her opinions are on violence they don't help unless she can get her legislation passed; which she can't do because of they very thing she defends.

As my representative I feel insulted by her stance.

        •  Your words, tone, her fault. Amazing. but sersly.. (0+ / 0-)

If Diane Feinstein controls the tone of a diarist who posts I regularly read and whose writings I believe I have been know to recommend, I am amazed  in the sense of struck with wonder on how she manages to do it while keeping busy at the thing that so insults you. Best sockpuppet ever ;-)

Seriously, since the topic you rightly suggestis  how we who are not in her state can help her get the assault ban legislation passed,  I will try to understand your point.

You believe it is her motivation that will keep her from passing it. the thing she defends...is that the prime obstacle..perhaps you can tell us how we will identify this thing in the bill itself...I mean in wonky legislative loophole terms-- IANAL but do a bit of legal research when the site's needs requires it.

      •  Details: discovered bodies after hearing shots (6+ / 0-)
Dianne Feinstein heard gunshots and called the police. She found Milk face down on the floor, shot five times, including twice in the head at close range. After identifying both bodies, Feinstein was shaking so badly she required support from the police chief. It was she who announced to the press, "Today San Francisco has experienced a double tragedy of immense proportions. As President of the Board of Supervisors, it is my duty to inform you that both Mayor Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk have been shot and killed," then adding after being drowned out by shouts of disbelief, "and the suspect is Supervisor Dan White.

like Rand Paul or Inhofe would filibuster something called the "Sandy Hook Gun Safety Act"?  I say we use every trick at our disposal to shame the other side over this and get it passed.
