The Palestinians weren't going to be forced out of their homes. The Israeli part of the 1947 partition plan had huge amounts of Palestinians remaining, but it was still going to be a Jewish majority, so there was no plan to move them out.

It's extremely well document and has been revealed to the public.

        Decades ago.

No credible scholar disputes that it was real.

The Israeli part of the Partition was in fact 42-47% non-Jewish.  That was not in any way acceptable to those who wanted an unquestionably Jewish State.

        •  Gee when was that plan made? (0+ / 0-)

I believe it was AFTER the decapitation of children in Hebron in 1929, as well as the slew of other murderous rampages that led to the founding of Irgun, a retaliatory terrorist organization.

The only reason they put Plan Dalet into place is because the Arab nations declared war on them. They wouldn't have done it otherwise, and you know it.

there was no ethnic cleansing, and when proven wrong, you're going to fall back to justifying ethnic cleansing?

When you sink to trying to enoble the Irgun by calling it a "retaliatory terrorist organization" instead of recognizing that it was purely a racist gang which committed acts of genocide you remove yourself from reasonable discussion.

            •  Both sides engaged in ethnic cleansing (0+ / 0-)

but the point was correct. Syria was not interested in helping Palestinians when it invaded Palestine on May 15, 1948. It wanted to participate in the division of the land among its neighbors. So Wolfox is correct.
