  •  What he is insinuating is that the children tried (9+ / 0-)

to fight back, which is absurd. It wasn't the fucking Alamo, it was a classroom. Him talking this way diminishing what actually happened and propagates the continuing fetish that allows them to think more guns is the solution to gun violence.

    •  Thanks - my point is that he's not stupid on this (1+ / 0-)

thing he's saying about 'defensive wounds' - he is actually technically accurate.  I'm sure some of the children tried to curl up into a ball covered by their arms/hands, especially after the first few classmates were killed.  Horrific.

But yeah he's being tactical here.  Which is all the more obscene, to play pro-gun rhetorical tactics over these childrens' lives.

      •  How the hell does he even know? (3+ / 0-)

Has law enforcement released pictures or information that this was what was thought to have occurred?

Or is he just making shit up - he's got a rep for doing BS like that.

        •  He doesn't know... (0+ / 0-)

or preliminary reports, released Saturday afternoon.

Please don't misunderstand. Gohmert's an idjit, even for East Texas; but about this ... we have to allow he might've stumbled onto a fact.
The kids probably DID cover their faces with their hands. That's all the defense they knew to try.
