    and the person in rage is literally trapped with no choices to get out of the situation let alone get mental health help. Thank you for your honesty, pollwatcher. Few people seem to truly know the trials of the seriously mentally ill, their families and friends.

    With the dramatic slashing of funding for mental health I have watched a friend, now nearing his 50's deteriorate badly. He was adequately cared for until about six years ago and now gets minimal mental health services - a telemedicine medication check about once every three months and oftentimes only once every 6 months. He scares me now and I bet I'm not the only person among his family and friends who have had to distance, even hide themselves from him.
