    I'm not sure that we'll be in that much of a different position.  Hard to say.

      or the post-inaguration January? I read here that Congress may be in session only a few days on lame duck, so clearly nothing will happen then. Getting too close to the Holidays, etc. I don't know who is still in DC right now.

      the House and Senate.  The losers were mostly tea partiers.  I am sure Bainer (that is how he pronounces his name - not boner the way it is spelled) doesn't like that fact.  However he will have the vote on his retention of his speaker position and that vote is supposed to take place on Jan 3.  But again he has lost some of his tea party reps and hopes he can retain his speakership.  He wants to make sure he doesn't go with a deal - lose his speakership in 2012 because the tea partiers who are may take him down when he can wait and have the vote on Jan 3.
