    that the "civilian stops" include many where no weapon is used in the stop. So to use this data to argue "more guns makes us safer" is disingenuous(sp). It's not so much a counterpoint as a supporting argument. He says he analyzed 100 shootings, but I only see 3 where a civilian with a gun had anything to do with the resolution. He also does not include incidents where trained professionals kill innocent bystanders or ones where civilians kill LEOs by accident in shooting situations. This is a poor piece of research.

      The civilian stop is more dangerous for the unarmed civilian. The increased danger factor may also delay the kind of intervention necessary to stop the active shooter.
