    Are for the cameras because I believe that Boehner passing a bill is not possible.  I also believe that the WH believes that.

    That's what underlies my conclusions.

    My conclusions don't depend on "11-dimensional chess".  That's just how you discredit my comment.  But it's ok.  I just want you to know that my conclusion is logical, and depends on the premise I wrote in paragraph 1.

      But history doesn't support it. Period. I heard this same argument when it looked like Obama was going to give up a "robust public option" during the HCR debate and when he collapsed on negotiating drug prices with big pharma. I heard it when he conceded that there be no more tiers of benefits for the long term unemployed and in several other instances. In short, your theory may look good on paper but has never once been born out. Not one time.

      I believe the entire negotiations are sham because he was going to cut Social Security all along and if there's a delay it's to get more out of Medicare or a deal that will take up Medicare cuts in the next session.
