  •  Ah, but Obama DID say... (0+ / 0-)

... BEFORE the '08 election, that we needed to "fix Social Security and Medicare" up to and including either the acceptance speech at DNC or the inaugural speech, and most of the "frontrunner" candidates echoed that 'something had to be done' about both.

    They think we're stupid.

News Flash:  Senior citizens of the first year Baby Boom generation (that would be me and others born in 1946) are old..., and most of us are not yet senile...!

We KNOW the funds for Social Security come from FICA withholding and are SEPARATE from the general fund and that Medicare is also a payroll deduction and a SEPARATE fund.

Neither has one damned thing to do with adding to the deficit!!!!!!!  The deficit is there because of illegal and unconstitutional wars and the loans they took out to pay for their illegal and unconstitutional wars - that's the biggest expense.

That the Social Security fund has been borrowed against we know.  So...., PAY IT BACK!!!

That's what these arseholes are worried about: paying back the Social Security Trust Fund they borrowed against.

There is also the fact that the Social Security Trust Fund has over two Trillion, and the Wall Street Casinos and Investment Bankers want to get their greedy fingers on that money..., which would disappear into offshore accounts faster than anyone can say "Remember Enron?"

Those are the issues regarding Social Security.  Al Gore was right when he said it should be put in a "lock box."

Instead, those miserable cretins, Dumbya and Dickie, borrowed against the funds illegally to pay for their illegal and unconstitutional wars.

I'm sick of attempts to steer this nation from principles evolved in The Age of Reason to hallucinations derived from illiterate herdsmen. ~ Crashing Vor
