Not only have I voted for Democrats, but, I have supported Democrats with money as well as door to door campaigning and campaigning on the telephone. This has worked so well that Democrats are now willing to cut programs that do not need to be cut. Not only that but cutting those programs will hurt me personally. Worse, cutting social safety net programs will hurt the nation today and in the future. I will not vote for a party that harms our nation be that party the Democratic Party or the Republican party.

Then next time around, instead of just a chained CPI we get a raise in the Medicare age if we are lucky, conversion of Medicare to a voucher program if we're not. Real smart.

That is the question. I believe that if Republicans had been elected 2012 then the country would have been headed towards a rapid disaster. Today we are headed towards a slow decline. Following the disaster there might have been real change.

Despite the worst recession since the 1930's you didn't see people clamoring for more social programs, sadly.

The extension of unemployment benefits; reducing the gap for senior drug benefits; reducing the payroll tax for low income workers; and the purpose of the stimulus law.

In 2010 Republicans wisely ran away from the Ryan budget and worked hard to convince seniors that Democrats cut the Medicare program. It did not work then and it did not work in 2012. But, imagine Republicans running against cuts in the Medicare program in 2014. Yes, Republicans will lie repeatedly, but, the president will get the credit for the cuts in the party will suffer.

B fees, larger this year by precentage than the COLA adjustment. Without going another year, SS folk are already behind the eight ball, and likely to stay that way, since Mandatory Medicare is not included in the Chained CPI which is figured for much younger people, and it all by itself is demonstrating why the chained CPI is the wrong thing to do.

monthly cost from $99.90 to $104.90 for each month in 2013.   That is a 5% increase in my payment. My supplemental from private insurance went from $194.75 to $206.25 for 2013. That is a 6% increase in my payment. Obana gave me a Social Security CPI of 1.7% a month which comes out to about 6.00 a month in SS after they take out my medicare payment before I get the Social Security and before I pay for my supplemental. And now Obama proposed a chained CPI so I can get less for life. You have to remember the first 2 years Obama was in office we got a big zero in CPI. Go figure!

Yet the proposal for the top % making from $250,000 to $400,000 with retain their Bush tax cut. What is wrong with this picture?

I know if this happens in the cliff process the rich will still be stealing from the elderly, handicapped and poor. If it happens I will never vote DEM or GOP for the rest of my life because you are all crooked and heartless. I have voted Dem since 1964 and am now 70. I even worked on Obama's first campaign. what a fool I was.
