really bored with being right all the time regarding the Dem leadership. This DFH really really really wants to be proved wrong - just once will do.

    •  What, no gloating Steve? No smug I told you so... (8+ / 0-)

as one of the most fucked-up DKos comments ever accused us of?

are about as nasty as you will ever read.  I've been HR'd, and censored for saying what everyone on this site is screaming about today.

Here's one of the nicer ones:

I bet all that bile in your mouth tastes really bitter.

        Grow up, please.

        •  Me too. (7+ / 0-)

I suppose a FEW may recall that I ran a comic relief primary challenge to Obama in the Dem Primary (I'm sure I got at least one real vote; my family says they voted for me but then, they would say that even if they didn't) on the basis that I would be the only candidate that would pledge not to cut SS and Medicare.

And I was not just attacked for that but HR'ed by the usual people.

I don't think this is a surprise for ANYBODY, even weatherdude.  I think the people that have been denying this weren't blind.  They were just dishonest actors arguing for their client.

The evil bogeyman that is the fiscal cliff. PFFFT.

If it were really what they claim it is it must need some really big solutions now, Now, NOW!!!!

They can get back to me when the politicians and the lazy and corrupted elites are bringing their own chained CPI (across the board on their own salaries, benefits and corporate welfare) to the table of shared sacrifices.

Then I might begin to treat them as adults worthy of serious conversation.

Heck? Some of the people here exhibiting (?feigning?) confusion over the furor might start screaming about how bad the idea is too...

            •  I guess the unemployed don't count as people. (0+ / 0-)

You either care about those people or you don't.

That is not even included in the sequestration.
              -caution- massive pdf file-

You know, the 'cliff' that everyone say to jump off?
I doubt if anyone will examine them, but these cuts
in discretionary spending effect every federal program.
I saw the figure 8.2% used an awful lot across the board.

Student Loans? Mental Health? Agriculture programs like SNAP?
Environmental research, mitigation? Green energy? NASA?

Go look for yourselves. These are the law already.
This was the price for the 'hostage' of our credit rating.
along with UIC extensions, and something else, too.

Combined with defense cuts, it is 12 billion or so a month,
starting January 1st, 2013. Think these cuts will not
have an immediate effect on our economy? Employment?
              Consumer spending? Investing? Home owners?

This is the cliff. Still wondering why the president
is negotiating at all? Still want us all to jump?
Are you sure you care about all the people?

"So if you believe this 'cliff' is not a cut to programs
that help the poor and middle class, you don't need to
be commenting about it or writing diaries about it."

I guess the unemployed don't count as people.
Or any one else who might be effected by this.

              "Chained CPI - is it a cut or not?" - 10 years -     $236B
"Fiscal Cliff" - combined spending cuts 10 years  $983B
The numbers above appear to be estimates only.

Aren't y'all 'sposed to be at
              Warren's impeachment rally?
Because you just know she will
              betray everyone and everything
and is a supporter of the POTUS.

              I remember when Jane proudly
              wanted to impeach Bernie, too.
Ah. Good times. Those were the days.
