    Kids process in stages, as do adults. Expect to be answering (and re-answering) this topic for a long time to come. Some questions will happen tomorrow, some will pop up "out of the blue" a year from now, and someday when he's an adult he might come back to this horrible tragedy as the first thing to make an impression on his consciousness and want to relearn it again as a parent himself.

    One thing that has gone viral over the past weekend is Mr. Rogers' quote about "look for the helpers"... his mother told him, he told us, and many of us passed that on to our kids after this past weekend. Think about how that happened though: Mr. Rogers remembered something that his mom said to him as a child. Processing it as an adult, he still saw the truth, the kindness and the necessity of her wisdom. (Hat tip to Wee Mama)
