    That's my point. Republicans brought it to the table. Obama offered it as a concession, likely with the assumption it would be rejected.

    Whether that was a good idea or not is certainly a whole different conversation and per usual I'll reserve judgement until the whole thing shakes out. I have much less information to judge upon than those involved in the negotiations.

    At this point, with Boehner's Plan B debacle, it actually seems to be going right along as planned.

    I have no doubt that if any deal is made there will be concessions many do not agree with. That is the essence of compromise and the foundation of our government.
