  •  Me, my mom, and my husband are (11+ / 0-)

currently having an argument about all of this.

In my mom's eyes, the president can do no wrong. "Give him the benefit of the doubt," she says.  "It can't be as bad as folks are saying."

In my husband's eyes, there's nothing to get upset about because, "Nothing has been decided yet, so let's wait and see."

In my eyes?  Where there's smoke, there's fire.  I am SO, SO, SO disappointed with the president lately, that I'm beyond angry.

To my mom:  Get your head out of the sand!

To my husband:  You're like the frog in the pot who doesn't realize the water's boiling till it's too late.

To my president:  My mother always said that if I don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all.  Well, I'm not listening to her, so much as I don't want to get HR'd. Ever since info about your Fiscal Cliff/Curb/Whatever negotiations has started filtering out, I've developed a strange malady.

I can only think in curse words.

    •  Have them read this (8+ / 0-)

Maybe then they'll realize how much of a POS idea chained CPI is.

Of course I require that people spend 2-3 minutes actually reading a few SS trustees reports, only selected portions, real easy reading.

Sorry to hear that your mom is saying this, but as we can certainly see around here and many other places, she's not alone in her feelings.

In my mom's eyes, the president can do no wrong.
There is no credible reason for anyone to say that about a poltician.  Hell, there is no credible reason for anyone to say that about anyone, a child, a parent, a sibling, a spouse.

Humans are fallible, and yes, human beings do make mistakes, do things that aren't right.

Once we as citizens give power over our employees, our elected leaders to do anything they choose and support them unquestionably, our civil society is doomed.
