... with at least half the brains of Senator Sanders!

We will have Rep. Grayson in the House.

MN's 8th district will have Rick Nolan (my new Democratic Rep - we ditched that idiot Cravaack after one term).  Rick Nolan was a Rep many years ago in the 6th Dist., now he's back in the 8th after something like 20 years doing other things, and part of his winning speech election night included words to the effect that "Social Security and Medicare are not "entitlements." They're Earned Benefits."  I thought for a minute he had been posting secretly here on DK, or at least reading some of the posts since I know I said the same thing and I'm not sure who else said those words.  Lucky I was sitting down when he said those words or else I'd have fallen over.  I hope he can work with Rep. Grayson.

Who else has enough common sense to work with Rep. Grayson and Rep. Nolan...?  [Yes, I know.  Technically, at this minute, each still has the title "Representative-elect" - I just wish they were already able to work for us.]

Someone has got to get the ball rolling to work FOR the people who elected them, 'cuz it sure isn't Pelosi or Boehner or McConnell or some of those odd Teahadists who come up with some really strange misogynistic and other insane proposals about laws they want passed...!

I'm sick of attempts to steer this nation from principles evolved in The Age of Reason to hallucinations derived from illiterate herdsmen. ~ Crashing Vor

Repeat after me, fellow Kossacks: Earned Benefits. And understanding just what these programs do, and who uses them: Social Security & Medicare are earned benefits for the elderly AND the disabled.

Ho'oponopono. To make things right; restore harmony; heal.
