  •  PPP just had a selection of polls out (0+ / 0-)

that asked a number of questions about gun control. i used some guesswork and unscientifically extrapolated that there is significant support for a blanket ban right now. and, of course, this is before we put out the publicity about it. the more we talk about its benefits, the better it will poll.

So detail your logic. Which specific polls do you reference, and what logical steps do you take to get from those to the notion of majority support for a ban on all private firearm ownership? Furthermore, what makes you think that the proposal of a ban on all private firearm ownership would exist in a vacuum, such that "publicity" for that ban wouldn't be completely overwhelmed by "publicity" against it?

You're engaged in political fantasy thinking.

      •  if 65% of folks want mental (0+ / 0-)

screening for gun ownership, i assumed that alot of them would say no to guns period.

its an assumption, yes, but one i feel pretty confident making.

        •  Massive logical jump there. (5+ / 0-)

That's one hell of a leap... on what basis are you making that assumption?
