    and storytelling, and she actually had a paid gig for awhile as a performer in an outfit called "The Crisis Company" that provided live simulation training to law enforcement and other groups.  It was run by somebody with police experience who also had expertise in mediation, conflict resolution, and mental health.  

    The performance troupe would provide a rough script with mutiple branching points to better and worse scenarios.  The actor would interact with small groups of trainees, and later the larger group would replay and discuss each interaction.  The idea was to reinforce behaviors consistent with good community policing, and model a path to better outcomes.  

    My sweetie particularly liked playing the wild-eyed bag lady being ejected from a public building, who might or might not precipitate a nasty scene with a steak knife depending on how she was treated.  

    It was a good project, as far as it went.
