    Yes, funny paradox, that. Airport security is so restrictive (even paranoid) nowadays, yet we have loons like this Barrett openly touting military-style assault weapons for civilian use.

    You'd swear that they were flip sides of the very same coin. Somebody is directly, personally benefiting by all the paranoia.

      doesn't apply to air passengers? If passengers were armed on 9/11, those planes wouldn't have been hijacked. Clearly the NRA hasn't been doing its job on this front. They use the same basic argument to permit guns in national parks, schools, churches, bars, you name it. But they can't manage to extend that sacred right into our airports. Shame, NRA, shame.
