    If he had had to stop and reload, that group of military men who were there, several of whom gave their lives protecting people, could have used those pauses to take him down. Having a gun wouldn't have helped much because by the time they got them out and aimed and made sure they were aiming at the right person they would already have been mowed down. But they could have timed the reloads and attacked, probably from more than one direction at a time. Even if they'd tackled the wrong person they wouldn't have killed anyone.
