  •  I'm glad you're enjoying 'The Namesake'. (5+ / 0-)

I'm reading a sci-fi called Beggars in Spain, about children who are genetically engineered to need no sleep, then turn out to be kind of superhuman, and have to deal with great resentment from the 'sleepers'. Also a library book called The Realists, about Stendhal, Balzac, Dickens, Dostoyevski, Tolstoy, Galdos, James & Proust.

But for Christmas I got a book by David Byrne - his thoughts on music - which looks fascinating.

Now I have to join the family, so we can start the Dr. Who Christmas Special. Earlier today I saw Les Miserables and The Hobbit. And I am gaining weight from too much deliciousness. Life is sweet and dandy. Thank you for being part of that, Avila.
