  •  I was going to write a similar thing (3+ / 0-)

I read the diary and I tested the concept.

I tested on the scroll button/tab (whatever its called) to see if I could scroll with one click - and I could because that's how it works.  I click the scroll thingy and drag it down/up and release after the scroll.

    Unless, I don't understand.  ;^)

The scroll function works differently. If you click above or below the reference mark that shows where you are on the page, you'll see that the initial click is what causes it to scroll.

Next time you post a comment try this. Click preview, but don't release the button. Now drag the the pointer over to the cancel button. Nothing happens. Both the intial click and the release have to be on the same button to activate the function.

Click above or below the page reference in the scroll bar and then hold the mouse button down. One click cause it to go up or down one page. Holding the button down cause it to scroll until the reference mark is at the same location as the mouse pointer.
