    and thank you for sharing your thoughts.  We held my father's service on Saturday, 12/22.  I've been trying to remind myself that he was tired, missed my mother, and ready to leave.  I confess, I'm struggling with this, particularly today, Christmas Eve.  

    Your poignant insights are especially appreciated. I had thanked all in attendance not only for being there that day, but throughout the years and adding their rich, individual textures to the tapestry that was my father's life.

    Yet today, I ache, I grieve.  Your words offer some small solace and I will think upon them and be grateful that you shared them.

    You are my brother, my sister.

      It is hard having people go; however we find comfort for ourselves, it's in part because those people touched us in way that lets us love them and remember them.
