well the first few, are from an area in the greenhouses at Longwood attached to the conservatory.  Every year they have trees decorated from schools in the area.  I guess the teachers choose a theme and the kids make the ornaments for the tree.  Often you can see that they all sort of get ideas from each other and you find similar things in the ornaments that they made.

The last ornament photo up there was from a tree where many of the kids decided that their ornament faces should have their tongues sticking out.  It's pretty funny to study them.

I haven't been in that section for a few years and this year when we were there I didn't have enough time to linger and take a lot of photos of them.  I wish I had gotten some more shots.  I'll get one more chance tomorrow but I'm not sure if we will have the time to go through that section.  Plus, it wil be a mob scene as it always the week between Christmas and New Year's.  Some of homemade ornaments are really precious.

Next year I will have to do a better job of getting over to Longwood during the month of December on weekday mornings when you really can have the time and space for photography.  I hesitate to say this but this year's display was not really as good as some other years, imho.  That being said, it's always magnificent, and of course different people have different taste.  But next year I really do look forward to seeing what they do with the place and to getting more photos.  I really like to share them and now that I have the new camera, the pictures from previous years that I thought were really good... well they don't compare with the things I can do with this camera, and I still have only scratched the surface learning what this camera can do, and what I can do with more creative compositions.
