    is trying. Which is more than can be said for the Congressional GOP. So Kudos to Starbucks. Now, turn your roaster down so your coffee's not so bitter. Thank you.

      This is self-interest.  It helps business if you can quote John Lennon but customers don't really know it's John Lennon or have any idea what it means.

        How exactly does it help Starbucks that much? It's not exactly a minor chain that needs notoriety, and is anyone that wasn't going to buy coffee there before really going to change their minds because of this?

          The CEO speaks for Starbucks not congress.  Smart move on his part.  Of course he has to maintain his companies image and keep the business doing well next year too.

            Lot of effort just for that, tho, particularly for an issue that I'm not sure a lot of people are paying that close attention to. I'll still maintain that possibly having people pay closer attention to the situation is a good thing.
