    but their failure to pass the Farm Bill may lead to $6 - $8/gallon milk in January.

    Are they crazy enough to let that happen, and if so, will the public respond?

      that will be something people will see immediately, and the Dems need to be ready to place the blame, loudly and repeatedly, where it belongs: on the GOP. Let's hope they've at least figured that out, so we can avoid hearing the "both sides do it" lie.

      The fiscal curb, not so much. The taxes filed for in April will be for last year, at last year's rates. The spending cuts will be felt sooner, of course, but milk prices spiking will hit at the same time as the inauguration.
