    revolution.  Society has undergone a number of "revolutions" since the American Revolution.  I'd point to the sexual revolution, women's rights movements, and the civil rights movement as major examples.  

    But a violent overthrow of the government...I doubt it, although I imagine quite a few DKos members would disagree with me.  I see a lot of French Revolution imagery around these parts.
