    It's convenient to say 'we are the 99%'; I do it all the time; but I should really be drawing the line at 99.9%.

      but it is the six figure people that have all the upward mobility, not us.  They are secure in their 2 to 3% status which they hang on to at the expense of all others, even if it means taking away what ever is left of any kind of security for the 97% of us.
